Behind a mask he doesn’t show
That he is a Montague
Feeling sad and feeling blue

But then through golden window came
The worship’d sun to stop the rain
When Romeo saw Juliet
The playwright said the stage is set

The grudge is generations deep
It’s a death-mark’d love
Like a wolf and like a sheep

Now secretly the star-cross’d two
Heard wedding bells and did it too
At Friar Laurence cell it’s true
A Capulet wed Montague

See Friar Laurence had a plan
To end the hate that plagued the land
To matrimony enemies
Alliances to keep the peace

But before the plan engaged
Here comes Tybalt all enraged
Deaf to peace he’s apt enough
To treat Romeo rather rough

But Romeo does protest
That he loves Tybalt like the rest
Of Capulets and Montagues
And so he kills with loving news

Can you see it in the stars
The ancient hate and daddy’s rage
The will of Ares - the will of Mars
Is gonna write the final page
