Are these ghosts for real - is that my father’s soul
Was he really murdered - by his only bro
Do I take revenge - or keep it status quo
A ghost is trying to tell me - to kill another man
It looks just like my father - as phantoms sometimes can
The one I’m s’posed to kill - Claudius the king
My uncle who just gave my mom a wedding ring
The funeral - the wedding - the woe
The mother - the father - the foe
I’m sick at heart - ‘tis bitter cold
Hamlet’s 30-something years old
Could he kill his brother - just to be the king
And take his only lover - and laugh and dance and sing
And how could mother marry - so soon after his death
And celebrate condolences - all in the same breath
Is anybody honest - or do they all just seem
To lead a life of good - with nothing too extreme
Yet here’s another liar - here’s another thief
Here’s another murderer - all rotten in relief
The poison - the prison - the plan
The madness - the method - the man
Hey hey - the play is the thing
